Jeffrey Wayne "Jeff" Burney Obituary - Water Valley MS

Jeffrey Wayne Burney, age 57, of Blue Springs, MS, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at his home. Born December 27, 1960 in Grenada, MS, to Mrs. Joyce Munson Burney and the late Bobby Gene Burney. He was engaged in farming and trucking and was also a gifted mechanic, learning his trade repairing tractors and equipment on the Burney Farm. He attended the Water Valley First Assembly of God. He enjoyed fishing and playing the drums. Family time was very important to him and he kept busy helping others.

Visitation is planned for 1:00 PM Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Seven Oaks Venue in Coffeeville, MS. Funeral services will follow at The Venue at 2:00 PM with Rev. Keith Burney officiating.

Jeff is survived by a daughter, Amber Nicole Benson (Brandon Scott) of Chickasha, OK; a son, Watson Monroe Burney of Blue Springs, MS; four brothers, Daryl Burney (Missy) and Paul Burney (Melissa) both of Coffeeville, MS, Keith Burney (Darlene) of Water Valley, MS, and Jerry Burney (Tina) of Warrington, MO; his mother, Joyce Burney of Coffeeville, MS; and one granddaughter, Adley Miller of Chickasha, OK.
