Milton Spiro Alexis passed away unexpectedly at the Brockton Veteran’s Hospital on Tuesday. He was 66. Raised in Arlington, Milton served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he operated his own currier business. A thoughtful and generous man, Milton was a member of the Aleppo Shriners and the Arlington Mystic Valley Lodge of Masons. He volunteered frequently as a Shriners clown, bring joy and fun to children, especially those in the care of the Shriners Hospital. Milton was also a longtime member of St. Athanasius Parish in Arlington.

The beloved son of the late Walter and Rita (Daniska) Alexis, he was a loving brother of Elaine Alexis of Arlington, Peter Alexis of Waxahachie, TX, and Trent Alexis and his wife Annette of Medford.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Monday January 8th at 9 AM followed by a funeral service in St. Athanasius Greek Orthodox Church, 4 Appleton Street, Arlington at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family at the funeral home, Sunday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at MA National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Milton's name to the Shriners Hospital, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114, or to St. Vasilios Greek Orthodox Church, 5 Paleologos St., Peabody, MA 01960.
