Simone Irene (Boyer) Wittig
12/20/2017

MEREDITH, N.H.: Simone Irene (Boyer) Wittig, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2017 at Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith, N.H.
An amazing woman, a true beauty inside and out, Simone was a loving wife to Bob Wittig for 35 years until his passing in 1980.
From a different generation, she believed it was her responsibility, and a joyful one, to create a warm and welcoming home for her family. Humble and unassuming, she took pride and great joy in her role as wife, mother to 5 children and full-time homemaker. We couldn’t get away with much because she was always at home, busy, vigilant while giving us just enough rope and space to grow and hopefully learn from our own mistakes. Sometimes she told our father, sometimes not, always discerning.
Her baking skills, always from scratch, were unparalleled. She loved all the holidays -baking and cooking for days ahead in preparation. Decorating our Christmas tree was an anticipated event we looked forward to all year long. Our home was a magnet and favorite for all the neighborhood kids at Halloween.
I believe she possessed the sweetest disposition of anyone I have ever known. A lesson in grace, acceptance and compassion, the glass was always half full. She accepted and rolled with life’s ups and downs never complaining. Always so kind and appreciative of others kindnesses. Married at the tender age of 18, she accomplished much in all that matters. A life well lived.
She is survived by her five children: Robert Wittig of Laconia, NH; Janice Buchieri of Falmouth; Sandra Wittig of Eastham; Joyce McMahon of Framingham and Charlene Frary of Natick. Also, she leaves her grandchildren Christopher Buchieri of Falmouth; Jannel Fitzpatrick of Paxton; Tiffany Sidhom of Paxton and Jessica Frary of Framingham as well as her great-grandchildren Shelby Buchieri of Mashpee and Mateos and Sabrina Sidhom of Paxton. She was the sister of Paul Boyer of Carver, formerly of Cochituate and aunt of Alice Boyer of Natick and Paul Boyer of Florida.
We are most grateful for the compassionate care our mother received during her stay at Golden View Health Care Center.
Private services will be held for her family. Interment will be in the Boyer – Wittig family lot in Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.
