Longtime St. Paul resident
Died peacefully late Friday evening at The Pillars Hospice, Oakdale. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Jacob & Elsie Bour & brother James. Robert was born August 31, 1929, the second of three children. He proudly served in the Army for 2 years during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW. He married JoAnn Leithauser on June 4, 1955 and they spent over 62 years together celebrating life, family & friends. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, consistently putting the needs of others before his own. He loved his church and his unwavering faith in God was well known to all who knew and loved him. Bob was also a passionate fan of both the MN Twins & Vikings. Watching them play was one of his favorite pastimes. Robert is survived by his wife, JoAnn; his two daughters Tia (Tom) Clark & Mary Jo (Tom Moch) Bour; four grandchildren Katie (Adam) Haugerud, Jamie (Tom) Nelson, Ashley (Andrew) Emig, & Dana (Brandon) Kasper; & two great grandchildren Taylor & Jakob Nelson. He is survived by his sister Marie (Richard) Tschida; many nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday (12/21) at 11AM at CHURCH OF ST. PETER 2600 Margaret St N, North St. Paul, MN. Visitation 1 hour before Mass at Church. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to Healtheast Foundation, specifically Pillars Patient Assistance.
