Obituary

LaVerne Baldwin passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late George and Victoria Bray born in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married and moved to Santa Ana, California. After the West Coast they moved and lived in 10 different states, many southern states and finally settled in East Derry.

She began her real estate career by opening a real estate office in Londonderry, NH for Berge’s Real Estate. After several years with Berge’s Real Estate, she opened Baldwin Real Estate at the Traffic Circle in Derry, NH. After leaving her real estate career full time she did property management for apartments and homes in the southern part of the state. Her other projects were the 3 acres of lawn which she loved mowing leisurely on her riding mower. Another hobby was her garden and her first red tomato (almost always before July 4th). The other garden crops were usually divided between the woodchucks and rabbits, and were rarely on the dinner table. Each year there was a different solution as to how to keep the critters away.

She is survived by two sons, Rick Baldwin, Dallas, Texas, and Craig Baldwin and his wife Jin of Phoenix, Arizona, one daughter Terri Baldwin, East Derry, NH, one daughter-in-law Cindy Baldwin, Naples, Florida, 5 granddaughters, 4 great grandchildren, two sisters, Yvonne Kilps, Eagle River, Wisconsin and JoAnn Phillips, Oak Creek, Wisconsin, and one very special niece Judy Krueger, Lake Forest, Illinois plus many special nephews located throughout the US, and a few nieces.
She was predeceased by her precious son Mark Baldwin in 2013.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Anne’s Church, 26 Emerson Avenue, Hampstead, NH, followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in East Derry, NH

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to MD Anderson Cancer Center (https://www.mdanderson.org/donors-volunteers/donate/honor-loved-ones.html) for cancer research or American Heart Association (https://donatenow.heart.org/?ploc=105131). She would also love family and friends lay a single rose (no vase, fern or ribbon) at the base of Mark Baldwin’s memorial plaque on the Londonderry Rail Trail. Wouldn’t it be great to have the base covered with roses?

Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry, is in charge of arrangements.
