Obituary

Mr. Bernard M. Reardon, a long-time resident of Lawrence and beloved husband of the late Susan P. (Skelly) Reardon, passed away at Academy Manor Nursing Center in Andover on Thursday, December 7, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was 70 years old.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on January 28, 1947, he was the beloved son of the late Francis T. and Helen W. (Nangle) Reardon. Mr. Reardon grew up in Andover and was a graduate of Andover High School and Villanova University. He was a dedicated Guidance Counselor at Woodbury Junior High School in Salem New Hampshire for many years when he retired, where he was affectionately known as 'Bernie'. Bernard also taught science and biology at Central Catholic High School and Peabody Memorial High School. In his spare time, Bernard enjoyed coaching for his kids teams, watching TV and going to the movies. He also loved to tell jokes to whom ever would listen. Bernard was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. He especially loved being "Pop' and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

Bernard and his beloved wife, Susan, celebrated 48 years of marriage in July, just prior to her passing in September. He is survived by his loving children; Sean B. and his wife Dawnmarie Reardon of Lawrence, Neal R. and his wife Nancy E. Reardon of Rutland, MA, Meaghan E. and her husband David J. Choate of Pelham, NH, and Keara A. and her husband Parna Sem of Lawrence; sister, MaryEllen and her husband Vincent Molinaro of Methuen and grandchildren; Marissa, Thomas, Patrick, Ciara, Jaxen, Mannix and Lennox Allan. He was the brother-in-law of Robert and his wife Bonnie Skelly of Alexandria, VA and Kathleen Skelly of Needham and uncle to three nephews, Paul, Chris and Erik and their families.

Bernard's family would like to thank the nurses, assistants and staff at Academy Manor, where he was treated and cared for like family.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Methuen.
