Obituary

Linwood S. “Murph” Lemasa, age 76, of Marshfield, died December 4, 2017 at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth. Murph was married for 56 years to Beverly (Jones) Lemasa. Born in Groton, CT, he was raised and educated in Brockton, a son of the late Panteleon and Grace (Robinson) Lemasa. He had been the owner of Danforth Bakery in Plymouth and a partner at Liberty Bakery in Brockton. Prior to his retirement two years ago, he was a Master Baker at Brandeis University for 30 years. Murph was a hardworking and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed gardening, oil painting, baking and cooking for his family, and taking care of his pick-up truck.

He was the father of Lisa Lemasa of Millis, MA, Michael Lemasa of Shoreline, WA and Carolyn Brave of Monroe, WA; grandfather of Heather, Ashley, Tyler and Hannah Coste, Justin, Eric and the late Ren Brave; great grandfather of Cameron and Madison Coste, Emmeline and Pennelope Brave and Caleigh and Sophia Holmes; brother of Grace Prodigalidad of San Diego, CA and Laura Clark of Waterford, CT and the late George “Louie”, Carlton “Ski”, Lorenzo “Bozo” and Frank Lemasa, Paula Forcina and Jimmy Santangelo.

Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Sunday 2-5pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Monday at 9:30am followed by a funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:30am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
