Obituary

Patricia A. (Mehl) Charbonneau, age 79, of Brockton, died peacefully, November 20, 2017 at Sachem Center for Health and Rehabilitation following a period of failing health. Pat was the loving wife of the late Franklin A. Charbonneau. Born and raised in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Wallace L. and Camille S. (Asci) Mehl. Pat was a graduate of Brockton High School, class of 1956 and attended IBM School in Boston. For over 35 years, she was employed at Prudential Insurance Company and retired as Office Manager. Pat was always optimistic and had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed summer parties with family and friends, flower gardening, reading and cooking. She was an avid camper and spent much time at Bourne Scenic Park campground. She also enjoyed golf, trips to Foxwoods, and her cats, especially Duchess. Pat was a devoted daughter, wife, sister and friend.

Pat is survived by her stepchildren Thomas, Bob and Glenn Charbonneau; sister of Barbara F. Deveney and her husband Mark of West Bridgewater, Frederick L. Mehl and his wife Marilyn of Brockton, Walter D. Mehl and his wife Rosa of Brockton, William L. Mehl and his wife Sandra of West Bridgewater and Mary A. Huston and her husband Ernie of Brockton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was the niece of the late Nina Ostrum and stepmother of the late Bill Charbonneau.

Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Monday 4-7pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Tuesday at 10am, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church at 11am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Pat’s name may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 309 Waverley Oak Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
