TIVERTON – Irene (Lima) Souza, age 96 of Tiverton, passed away at St. Anne’s Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late August Lima and the late Clara (Costa) Lima.
Prior to retiring, Irene worked for Darwood Mfg. as a machine operator. She loved to take bus trips to the Casinos with her family, enjoyed her scratch tickets, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her children: Russell Souza of Fall River, Sharon Almeida, and Cheryl Noiseux (husband Paul) of Tiverton; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Irene was the beloved mother of the late Brian Souza and the sister of the late Sadie Lima and the late Mary Gracia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
A visitation for Irene will be held on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 from 9:30-10:30 A.M. with a service to immediately follow in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River, MA. Interment will take place in Pocasset Hill Cemetery, Tiverton.
