Christine Marie (Amato) LoRusso, of Medford, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 12th at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. She was 85.

Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (Datalo) Amato. Christine was a Medford High School graduate with the Class of 1950. She married her husband Daniel on November 9, 1952 in Boston’s North End. Together they built their family with love and devotion.

In Christine’s spare time, she loved playing bingo and spending time with her family. She and her siblings often enjoyed trips to Foxwoods together.

She was the beloved wife of the late Daniel N. LoRusso, who passed away in 1993. The two shared 41 loving years of marriage. Christine was the devoted mother of Vincent LoRusso and his wife Marion, Christine Poland and her husband John, all of Lynn, and the late Daniel A. LoRusso and his surviving wife Leslie of Medford. She was the loving grandmother of Troy LoRusso and his companion Micah Waxman of Greenfield, Justin LoRusso and his wife Dr. Michelle Ciach of Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Adam LoRusso and his companion Gabby Chudnow of Medford. Christine was the dear sister of Phil Amato of Saugus, Josephine Windsor of Cape Cod, Mary Salvo of Florida, Sal Amato of Cape Cod and the late Lenny Amato.

A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Friday, November 17th at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 through 11AM. Services will conclude with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
