FALL RIVER… Jose A. Rodrigues, 98, of Fall River passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Southpointe Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center.
He was the husband of the late Marion (Cabral) Rodrigues.
Born in the Azores, he was a son of the late Manuel and Maria Rodrigues. He moved to Fall River in 1919 at 5 months old.
Mr. Rodrigues was a veteran of the United States Army, serving his country during WWII. He worked for 65 years as a Barber at a shop on Rodman St. He was a former Post Commander at the VFW Post 486 in Fall River.
Survivors include his children; Joseph A. Rodrigues, Jr of Raynham, Roger A. Rodrigues of New Bedford and Veronica Sullivan of Fall River, 3 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was father of the late William J. Rodrigues and brother of the late Leo L and George Rodrigues.
At Jose’s request, his remains were donated to Harvard Medical School. No formal services are scheduled at this time.
