Silvino “Sal” F. Mello, age 58, of Fall River, passed away on November 11, 2017. Born in Arrifes, São Miguel Açores, he was the son of Maria (Ferrreira) Mello and the late José C. Mello, and was the beloved husband of Linda (Feliciano) Mello. Sal was a construction laborer for the Feeney Brothers, an avid fan of all New England sports teams, loved to play tennis, hockey, basketball, go fishing and camping. He also enjoyed spending time with his family especially his children.
He is survived by his children; David A., Andrea R. and Melanie L. Mello, siblings Joseph Mello and Lisa Mello Chasse and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was also the brother of the late Maria Simoes.
His calling hours will take place in the Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on Wednesday from 4-7 P.M. with a service to immediately follow. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to his family.
