Alberta (Cappannelli) Puccia passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday. She was 70. A Medford resident for virtually all of her life, Alberta was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary (Seminatore) Cappannelli. Alberta graduated from Medford High School and studied to be a hairdresser. Once married, she was devoted to raising her three children. Later in life she worked in retail and especially enjoyed her years at the Hallmark Shop in Wellington Plaza.


The beloved wife of the late Albert Puccia, she was a devoted mother of Albert Puccia, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury, Joseph Puccia of Norton, Pamela Puccia Longo and her husband Michael of Chelmsford. She is lovingly survived by 10 grandchildren. Alberta was the dear sister of Sestilio Cappannelli and the late Arlene Santorelli and Albert Cappannelli.

Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday, November 15th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford, at 10 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours are Tuesday 4 – 8 PM.
