McCABE, Constance Michaelina (Samborska), age 99, of Southbury, Conn., formerly of Milton, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 7, embraced by family. She was the daughter of the late Stanislaw Samborski and Klementyna Krzywinska Samborska, and the dear sister of Charles Samborski, Henry Samborski, Agnes Roszko, Estelle Groat, Jeannette Galkowski and Elizabeth Marc, all deceased. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren J. McCabe and loving mother of Justine A. McCabe, and her spouse John R. Battista, of New Milford, Conn., Paula E. McCabe, and her spouse James R. Zeeck, of Falls Church, Va., Maryann McCabe, and her life companion David Burrows, of Riverdale, N.Y., and the late Richard S. McCabe; and grandmother of Jared McCabe Hudson, and his wife Hannah Doherty Hudson, of Cambridge, Mass., Gabriel Farah McCabe of Riverdale, N.Y, Jennifer Shaw-Battista, and her spouse Jeffrey Novick, and children Sarah and Avi Novick, of Davis, Calif., and Jessica McPhate, and spouse Michael McPhate, and children Ellie and Eamon McPhate, of Los Osos, Calif.; great-grandmother of Eliot Doherty Hudson; and beloved aunt of several nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy for Connie McCabe will be at St. Agatha Church, 432 Adams St., Milton, Monday, Nov. 13 at 10:30 a.m. Visiting hours will held at Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, on Sunday, Nov. 12, 2-6 p.m. Burial will be at Milton Cemetery, following the funeral.
