Antonio Sciarratta of Medford died on Friday, November 3. Born and raised in Palermo, Sicily, he was the son of the late Eduardo and Pietra (Capostagno) Sciarratta. Antonio came to the U.S. in 1960, settling first in East Boston before moving to Medford in 1977, where he worked as a cabinet maker.

Antonio was the husband of the late Carmela (Gaudino) Sciarratta, and father of Edward Sciarratta and his wife Kathleen of Medford, and John Sciarratta and his wife Lauren of Burlington. He was the grandfather of Antonio, Michael, Allison and Caroline, and brother of Alfonso Sciarratta and his wife Linda of Stoneham, Joanna Iannuzo and her late husband Rosario, Rita Rio and her husband Nunzio, and Joseph Sciarratta and his wife Rosalia, all of Sicily. Antonio is also survived by his fiancée Marie Cutillo of Stoneham, and many nieces and nephews in Italy.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Wednesday, November 8 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Tuesday, November 7, from 4 through 8 PM.
