Dudley
Jean Ann Easterbrooks, 73, passed quietly the morning of Friday, October 27, 2017 at home after a long illness. Jean was born February 17, 1944 in Webster, the daughter of the late Isaac Henry and Virginia (Dostal) Easterbrooks. She is survived by a son, Erik E. Jacobson and a daughter, Danielle Lee Jacobson (Timothy Holton) as well as a grand-daughter Casadee R. Jacobson all of Dudley. A sister, Bonnie S. Krist and her husband Lawrence of Galloway, Ohio and her former husband, Lee N. Jacobson of Worcester, numerous cousins and friends and her loving beagle companions, Copper and Lexi.
Jean was a graduate of Bartlett High School class of 1961 and a graduate of Lasell Junior College class of 1963 with an associates degree in fashion retail and merchandising. She was raised on Evergreen Farm and lived there most of her life on the family homestead raising her children and caring for her parents. Jean’s family was her heart and soul.
Jean’s career started with the former New England Telephone Company in Worcester as a service representative, where she enjoyed working and made many close friends and retired after many years of service.
Jean had a wanderlust and adventurous spirit. She loved to travel the highways and byways between New England and Florida in her blue Mustang convertible. She was an avid reader, great cook, loved flowers, baskets, shaker boxes and all things Native American, feeding the birds and watching the activity on the farm pond. She also had family gatherings playing scrabble and skip-bo.
Jean’s family would like to Thank Doctors and nurses, K’s Ambulance and Dudley Ambulance and the Visiting Angels, and Hospice for their compassionate care and South County Dialysis.
There are no calling hours.
A Celebration of Jean’s Life will be Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 11 AM in the Dudley First Congregational Church, 135 Center Rd. Burial will be at a later date in Corbin Cemetery.
