Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on November 1, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. Preceded in death by parents Jerome & Elizabeth; infant sister Belinda. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Mary; children Sara (Nick) Steckhahn, Adam, Jessie & Michael; siblings Holly McCarty, Matt (Bea), Lisa (Rob) Baldacci, Anna, Aimee (Tom) Adams, Julie (John) Capistrant & Jay (Amy); many nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Mark loved his Camaro, Friday night talks with the car guys and planting maple trees all over town. He enjoyed woodworking, and has made birdhouses for everyone he knows. He liked exploring the paranormal, WWII history and visiting Duluth. He worked for many years at MSP International Airport, driving school bus and at Angelo's Pizza. Service Wednesday (11/8) 11:00 AM at EASTSIDE COMMUNITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1212 Earl St., St. Paul. Interment Union Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday 4-7 PM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Ave., North St. Paul, and one hour prior to service at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
