Margaret Cain Gean, age 89, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the Yalobusha Nursing Home in Water Valley, MS. Born May 4, 1928 to the late Doyle L. Cain and Sallie Potts Cain, Margaret became a longtime sales clerk for Sears. She married William Ray Gean, Jr. who preceded her in death. She enjoyed traveling with her family, and loved doting on her grandchildren. Margaret was a member of Mt. Liberty Baptist Church.
Funeral services are planned for 1:00 PM Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Mt. Liberty Baptist Church with Bro. Kevin Jackson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in the church cemetery with family members serving as pallbearers. Margaret is survived by two daughters, Pam Williams (Glenn) of Weatherford, TX and Paula Murphy (Pat) of Memphis, TN; one son, Gary Gean of Memphis, TN; three grandchildren, Felicia Fields, Nikki Valdez, and Kristi Gean Allen; and four great grandchildren, Josh Welch, Colton Fields, Kearra Valdez, and Izzy Stewart. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Norris Cain and Dorris Cain, a daughter-in-law, Barbara Gean, a grandson, Keith Williams; and a great granddaughter, Olivia Gean. | ||||
