DORA ANN (ENSOR) “MOMMA BEAR” MARQUESS, 78, passed away October 7, 2017.
She was a homemaker, foster Mom to 40 children, past president of the Louisville Yorkie Club, president of the resident Council for Signature Health Care of South Louisville, and a member of Ashby Lane Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Robert R. Marquess Jr., her parents, Walter & Ethel Ensor, and her sister, Edna Earl Baete.
Survivors include her children, Robert R. Marquess III (Ruth Ann), Keith A. Marquess (Sunshine), Catherine L. Lucas (Wayne), Patricia A. Ashabraner (John),and Michael L. Marquess; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and her brothers, Walter K. “Bud” Ensor Jr. and James C. Ensor (Judy).
Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway with burial in Bethany Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2- 8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
