John M. Medeiros, age 62, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday October 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late John C and Mary B. (Lima) Medeiros. John was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School class of 1973 and Barbizon School of Modeling. He was a state champion accordion player and first ever to be invited to play at The Breakers for the Newport Jazz Festival. John later went on to become an Anesthesia Technician at Charlton Memorial Hospital for 44 years, where he made many lifelong friends. His love for traveling often brought him to P-Town and Paris. John was a political enthusiast, who loved animals, music and the arts. His hobbies also included going to the beach, gym, running, gardening and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his children; Jonelle E. DaSilva, and Jonathan M. Medeiros, former wife Darnelle (Cabral) Medeiros, lifelong friend Kate Arruda and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Mary T. Medeiros
Friends and relatives are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday from 4-8 P.M at Manuel Rogers & Sons Funeral Home 1521 N. Main St. Fall River. By request of the family funeral services will be private.
