William J. Pineau, 83 of Natick died Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Oak Knoll Nursing home in Framingham.
He was the beloved husband of the late Lorraine F. (Holmes) Pineau who died in 2011.
Born in Natick and a lifelong resident he was the son of the late Louis and Lucie (Blanchard) Pineau.
Mr. Pineau worked in the Communications industry for 40 years starting with New England Telephone Company and retired for A.T. &T. in 1989.
He enjoyed carpentry in his spare time, was a longtime member of the Columbus Club in Framingham, but was most proud of being called "PAPA” by his grandchildren.
Mr. Pineau attended the Natick School System graduating from Natick High School class of 1952.
He is survived by three children Janice Reid of Holden, Louis Pineau and his wife Joyce of Bellingham, Thomas Pineau of Natick, grandchildren Joseph, Diana, David, Michael, and Kevin Pineau, Nicholas Reid and great-grandchildren Andrew and Chloe Pineau, and many nieces and nephews
He was also the father of the late Mary Elizabeth Pineau and he was predeceased by seven sisters and one brother.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Wednesday, September 20th at 11:00 A.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
Burial will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M.
