Margaret "Peggy" Ann (Stone) Spera, age 64, of Medford died on Wednesday, September 13, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center of Boston after a long illness. Raised and educated in Revere, she was the daughter of Winfred Stone, the late Margaret (Winters), and the late Mary Stone. Peggy moved to Medford in 1993 and worked as an administrative assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank in Boston.

Peggy was the beloved wife of 36 years to Louis "Lou" Spera, and the devoted mother of Stephanie Doherty of Reading. She was the loving grandmother of Corey Perretti and his fiancee' Tiana Bui of Revere, and Andrew Doherty. She was the loving great grandmother of Travis Perretti, and the cherished sister of Richard Stone and his wife Maryanne of Topsfield, Donna Cardillo and her husband Robert of Sandwich, James Stone of Florida, Sal Lombardi of Nahant, and the late Linda Merrick and Catherine Stone. Peggy was the sister-in-law of Anne King and her husband John of Winchester, Janice Cusato and her husband Peter of Reading, and the late Sandra Turcotte and her husband Bud. She is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Friday, September 22 at 11 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 9 through 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
