Danny D. Trionfi of Everett, formerly of Somerville died on Thursday, September 7th. Raised in Somerville, he was the son of Natalino and the late Anna D. (Avellani) Trionfi.

Danny was an avid hockey fan, and loved the Bruins. He enjoyed spending time in the North End with friends. Danny loved to travel especially to Florida where he would play golf and go fishing. He loved the outdoors. Danny was always planning family vacations, renting cabins and cottages in Maine and New Hampshire. Danny was a member of Teamsters Local 25 and worked for UPS for over 20 years.

The love he shared for animals was not more evident than by the way he loved his dog Hoss. They were inseparable. Hoss and Danny were known to meet and greet anyone who would pass by them on their daily walks. This friendliness led to making new friendships.

Danny’s biggest passion was being an Uncle to his five nieces and nephews. He loved them as if they were his own children. Danny was always cheering them on from the sidelines of their sports games. Danny loved Halloween with his nieces and nephews and he made it special by helping them to decorate and taking them out to trick or treat.

Danny was the beloved son of Natalino and the late Anna D. (Avellani) Trionfi. He was the dear brother of Maria Kassabgi and her husband George of Winchester, Natalino Trionfi Jr. of Everett, Diana Fazzolari and her husband Joe of Swampscott. Danny was the loving uncle of George, Nicholas, Louis, Vincenzo and Giulianna, and is also survived by his beloved dog Hoss. He also leaves behind many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and his love, Andreia.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford on Friday, September 15th at 8:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Saint Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford at 9:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday from 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Community Mausoleum, Everett.
