Beverly C. Johnson, 84, a 66 year resident of Carver, died Sept. 4, 2017. She was the wife of the late Leon W. Johnson and the late Richard P. Gaulin. Beverly was born in Plymouth and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1951. After the death of her first husband, she took over their cranberry bogs and was a member of Ocean Spray Cranberry Co. She also volunteered at St. Kateri Thrift Shop for 8 years, 3 times a week and the St. Kateri Food Pantry once a week for 8 years. In her younger years, Beverly worked at Edaville Railroad for 10 years, then Mayflower Nursing Home for 5 years. She loved reading good books, doing puzzles, and doing volunteer work at church.
Beverly was the daughter of the late Merrill S. and Doris B. Nelson. Her siblings, Pauline V. Silvia, Merrill S. Nelson, and Burt Nelson, predeceased her. Beloved mother of Neal A. Johnson and his companion of 35 years Carol A. Collagan, and the late Barry L. Johnson. Grandmother of Wendy A. Johnson and Neal A. Johnson, Jr. Great Grandmother of Brittany Sylvia, Shandi Sylvia, and Caleb Johnson. She is also survived by her niece Carol Almeida and her family and many other nieces, nephews and friends and her sister in law Janet Nelson and her family.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Donations in Beverly's memory may be made to the St. Kateri Food Pantry.
