Eileen G. (Flynn) Murphy, 86, of Natick and formerly of Halifax, died Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Gilbert H. Murphy who died in 1992.
A Natick resident for 21 years she was born in Quincy one of eight children of the late Cornelius and Anastasia (Keene) Flynn.
Eileen’s life was always centered on her family and faith. She provided a warm and loving home supporting her husband, children and grandchildren, and was a lifelong devout Catholic.
She is survived by her six children, Patrice A. Sutherland and her husband Gary of Natick, Linda M. Murphy of Natick, Lisa J. Murphy of Natick, Eileen R. Ferrini and her husband Robert of Norwood, Michael G. Murphy and his wife Darlene of Plymouth, Matthew J. Murphy and his wife Christine of Marshfield, and by one sister, Jean McDonald of South Weymouth. Eileen is also survived by eight grandchildren, Amy Zarechian and her husband Brendan, Michael Sutherland and his wife Christina, Eric Sutherland and his wife Juliann, Conor Murphy, Kaitlyn Ferrini , Julia Ferrini, Sean Murphy and Meghan Murphy, as well as one great granddaughter, Emma Sutherland, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also the sister of the late John Flynn, Mary Mercurio, Kathleen Dillon, Rita Hoyle, Geraldine Flynn, who was Eileen’s twin, and Gerard Flynn.
Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 9th, in St Patrick’s Church, 44 East Central Street, Natick at 10:00 A.M.
Visiting hours on Friday, September 8th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the John Everett and Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park Street at Natick Common.
