Ralph J. Pezzulo, 73 of Marblehead, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 following a long courageous battle with Cancer. He was the devoted husband of Cheryl J. (Gagnon) Pezzulo with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Saugus, he was the son of the late Antimo and Fannie (Cogliano) Pezzulo. Ralph was a graduate of Saugus High School, Class of ’62 and attended Northeastern University. Following his schooling he entered the apprentice program for General Electric and worked as a designer in the turbine aircraft engine division at the Riverworks facility in Lynn. He retired after 35 years with GE.
Ralph enjoyed spending time with his family at their cottage in New Hampshire. He also had a passion for classic cars. He was a member of the North Shore Strokers and the Gerry Club of Marblehead.
In addition to his wife Cheryl, he is survived by their four children, Andrew M. Pezzulo and his wife Jeanine of Salem, Kristine M. Raimo and her husband George of Danvers, Jeffrey M. Pezzulo of Marblehead, Gary J. Pezzulo and his wife Abigail of Brookline, his sister, Grace Aloisi of Malden. He also leaves five grandchildren, Lucas Pezzulo, Sophia & Nicholas Raimo, Gabriella and Joseph Antimo Pezzulo as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Michael J. Carmen & Anthony Pezzulo, and sisters, Nancy M. Annese & Phyllis Santos.
Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 8:00 to 11:00 AM at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by his funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Star of the Sea Cemetery, Marblehead.
