Richard Carlos Alvey, 78, of Brandenburg KY, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017. Born in Dog Creek, KY he was a retired Logistics Management Specialist at Naval Ordnance and CACI, an Army veteran and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Patricia Louise (Forman) Alvey; brothers, Charles Wendell Alvey and James Norman Alvey.
Survivors include his loving daughter, Courtney Allison (Alvey) Wright; one grandson, Grayson James Wright, fiancé, Barbara Coffman; brothers, Edward Louis Alvey, Joseph Ray Alvey and David Michael Alvey; sisters, Bonnie Jean (Alvey) Lenberger and Sandra Helen (Alvey) Manion.
His funeral mass will be Friday 10:30 am at St. Paul Catholic Church, 6901 Dixie Highway, with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens, West.
Visitation will be 2 pm to 8 pm on Thursday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway.
