Obituary

Clark C. “Chuck” Burritt, III, 61, died suddenly on Monday, August 14, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus.

He leaves his husband and companion of more than 30 years, Richard J. Doyle of Worcester; his mother, Thelma Lee (Staley) Burritt; a brother, Christopher Staley Burritt, a niece, Mary Alice Burritt, and a nephew, Christopher McKenna Burritt, all of Greensboro, NC. He was born and raised in Greensboro, NC, son of the late Clark C. Burritt, Jr. and graduated from NC State University with a Master’s Degree in Architecture/Design.

Chuck was principal architect for the City of Worcester where he worked for more than 20 years. He was a certified member of NCARB, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He enjoyed playing the oboe and loved his dogs and cats, especially “Bobo” and “Chewy”. He will be remembered for his kindness and his gentlemanly manner.

CALLING HOURS will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on THURSDAY, AUG. 17, at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln St. A FUNERAL MASS will be held at 10 a.m. on FRIDAY, AUG. 18 at ST. PETER'S CHURCH, 931 Main St., followed by burial in St. John's Cemetery.
