Joseph P. Gobbi of Woburn died on Friday, August 11. Born and raised in East Boston, he was the son of the late Fernando and Carmela (Lento) Gobbi. Joseph proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was a resident of Woburn for the past 30 years.

Joseph was the beloved husband of Phyllis (Vivolo) Gobbi, and the devoted father of Joseph M. Gobbi and his wife Lorna of Woburn, Jolene Noyes and her husband David of Danvers, and Michael J. Gobbi and his fiancee Eliane Gomes of East Boston. He was the loving grandfather of Jolana, Nico, Gianni, Kendra, Kaela, Nikki, and Tayla, and the loving great grandfather of Michaelangelo, Luca, and Baby Ella Jo. Joseph was the cherished brother of Lena, Mary, Sammy, Eddy, and the late Frank, Emma, Patty, Rita, and Gaetano.

Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, August 14 at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Sunday, August 13, from 4 through 8 PM.
