Obituary

Margaret E. (Lavelle) Randall age 83 of South Easton died Thursday, August 3, 2017, at Brigham & Women’s Hospital surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Kenneth F. Macolini. Margaret was born in Brockton, grew up in Avon, and had been a resident of Easton for the past 60 years.

Margaret graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in Brockton and earned her LPN from the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing. She worked many years as the nursing supervisor for Bri-Mar Nursing Home in Randolph and as a consultant for South Shore Mental Health’s residential program in Quincy.

Margaret had been an avid boater with her husband as active members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, the New England Cruisers Association, Dorchester and Taunton Yacht Clubs, and the Bokeelia Boat Club of Pine Island, FL. They competed in predicted log competitions, explored the coastlines of New England and Florida, and enjoyed charter trips in the Caribbean. They also loved RV “land cruises” across the country including visits to Mexico and Canada.

Margaret will be remembered as a very intelligent, persistent, and independent woman who cherished her family.

She is survived by her two daughters Debra Casey and her husband Steven of Benton, ME, Paula Sabina of South Easton, and two step children Lynne Macolini and her husband James Gould of E. Greenwich, RI and Kirk Macolini and his wife Jolene of Ithaca, NY. Margaret was the sister of Edward M. Lavelle of Middleboro and the late John M. Lavelle of Florida. She was the former wife of Raymond F. Randall of Easton. She also leaves grandchildren Michael, Joseph and Krista Sabina, Eric and Dennis Casey, and Mackenzie, Tierny, and Aaron Macolini, great grandchildren Hannah, Avery, and Dillion Casey, and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, on Sunday 3-6 pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 10:15 am for a funeral Mass in Holy Cross Church, South Easton at 11:30 am and burial in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:45 pm.
