Lawrence M. Tortorici, age 88, a longtime resident of Woburn formerly of Stoneham and Medford, passed away peacefully, July 22, 2017, at the Tippett Home in Needham following a short illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Anna M. (Lombardo) Tortorici and together they shared nearly 60 years of marriage prior to her passing. Born in Medford he was the son of the late Salvatore and Mary (Prestia) Tortorici.

Lawrence was a proud veteran and honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War era. He worked for many years as an electrician and was a 67 year member of the IBEW Union local 103 and worked on many major projects in and around Greater Boston and the North Shore during his career. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus of Tewksbury and the Retired Men's Club of Arlington. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends, traveling, and many family summer vacations in Maine and on Cape Cod. He also enjoyed the occasional trip to Foxwoods. However his greatest joy was his family and nothing gave him more pleasure than to be with his children and especially his grandchildren who he was so proud of.

Lawrence is survived by his devoted daughters, Mary Ann Guadagnoli and her husband Donato of Framingham, Frances A. Launie and her husband Joseph of Milton, Carol A. Sabanty and her husband George of Stoughton. He was the loving grandfather of Daniel Guadagnoli, Ariana Launie, Kerry and Michael Sabanty. Brother of the late Charles, Salvatore and Frank Tortorici.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to gather at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Tuesday, July 25th, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. with a prayer service starting at 12 p.m. Services will conclude with military honors and burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Lawrence's memory to VNA Hospice & Palliative Care, 100 Trade Center, Suite G 500, Woburn, MA 01801 c/o Tippett Hospice Home.
