Bro. Charles Monroe Keel Obituary - Water Valley MS

Bro. Charles Monroe Keel, age 75, of Lambert, MS passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven, MS. He was born May 12, 1942 in Oxford, MS to the late Howard Monroe Keel and Carolyn Lois Neal Keel. Bro. Keel had served in ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Marks, MS, and several other churches in the surrounding area for forty four years. He enjoyed buying and trading vehicles, watching wrestling, reading his Bible, and was also a retired farmer and truck driver.

Visitation is planned for Tuesday, July 18, 2017 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Delay Baptist Church in Lafayette County with Bro. Johnny Stewart officiating. Burial will be in New El Bethel Cemetery in Oxford, MS with Johnny Clemons, Mark Keel, David Keel, Paul Keel, Leyton Mills, Tommy Mills, Keith McCullar, and Jacob Keel serving as pallbearers.

Bro. Charles is survived by his wife, Patsy Williams of Lambert, MS; two daughters, Chrissi Jo Mills (Leyton) of Marks, MS and Marsha McCullar of Atlanta, GA; four sons, Mark Keel of Batesville, MS, Paul Keel (Nancy) of Courtland, MS, David Keel (Cheryl) of Banner, MS and Keith McCullar (Salley) of Nashville, TN; one sister, Betty Griffis of Southaven, MS; two brothers, Bobby Claudene Keel of Clarksdale, MS and Harold Gene Keel of Oxford, MS; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patsy Ruth Clemons and Georgia Keel; and two brothers, Duel Keel and Leon Keel.
