Peter J. Limone, of Medford, passed away at home after a five year valiant battle with cancer on Monday, June 19th. He was 83 years of age. Peter was born in Boston on May 7th 1934 to the late Peter and Antonia (Lombardo) Limone. Peter was raised in the West End of Boston and lived most of his life in Medford. Peter was a great family man and enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

He was the beloved husband of Olympia (Condelli) Limone and a loving father to Peter A. Limone and his wife Jeana of Melrose, Paul D. Limone and his wife Joan of Medford, Carolyn Zenga and her husband Richard of Medford and Janine Arria and her husband Anthony of Medford. He was a proud grandfather to Krysta Limone and her fiancé Michele Bertolini, Lia, Peter, Paul, Jenna and Nicole Limone, Rachelle Destefano and her husband Rino, Julie Zenga, Peter and Christina Arria. He was a dear brother of Connie Athanas, Rose Balesteri,Lena Fortunato, Carmella Scott, the late Joseph Limone and his wife Laura, the late Josephine Micale, Mary Bramante, Helen Palano, Salvatore, James, Roy and Frank Limone. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and family members. Peter leaves behind many dear and loyal friends, most especially, Anthony Aresco, Yano Aresco and Joseph Pace Sr.

His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Thursday, June 22nd at 10:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM.
