Mrs. Yolanda (Frankini) Torrice, a lifelong resident of Medford and beloved wife to the late Joseph R. Torrice passed away at her home on Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2017. She was 95 years old.
Born in Medford, Massachusetts, on November 5, 1921, she was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio and Amelia (Greco) Frankini. Mrs. Torrice was graduate of Medford High School and Fisher Secretarial School. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in Medford. Yolanda was a former member of the Medford Women’s Club and the Zonta Club of Medford. She was a very social and loving person and will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving children; Margaret A. Torrice of Medford and Joseph R. Torrice and his wife Sarah J. Harrington Torrice of Stoneham and grandson, Joseph R. Torrice, III. She was also the mother of the late Antonio F. Torrice and sister of the late Olivia A. Heraty.
Her funeral will be held from the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 9 AM followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, from 4 to 8 PM. Interment will be held in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
