Yvette L. (Theriault) Ouellette, 90, of Salem, passed away peacefully, at her home, on Thursday, June 15, 2017. She was the devoted wife of the late O. Gerard Ouellette.
Born and raised in Salem, She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Eva (Madore) Theriault. As a young woman, Yvette worked for the former Auger Insurance Agency. Following her marriage to Gerry, she devoted her life to her family, cooking and cleaning. Family always came first. She also enjoyed bowling and card playing. Yvette volunteered at the Shaughnessy Kaplan Rehabilitation Hospital gift shop for over twenty years. She was a lifelong and active member of the former St. Joseph Parish of Salem
She is survived by three sons, Richard R. Ouellette of Salem, Philip G. Ouellette and his wife Linda of Virginia, Paul E. Ouellette and his wife Theresa of Maine, her daughter Michele M. Jaeckel of Lancaster, a brother Henry Theriault of Arizona and her sister Joan Duffy of Weyland. She also leaves eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Doris Beauregard and brothers, Clement Theriault and Rev. Roger Theriault.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. James Church, 156 Federal St., Salem. At Yvette’s request there will be no visiting hours. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
