Philip W. Hawko, age 66, of Clearwater, Florida, died on Monday, June 12. A lifelong Medford resident, he was the son of the late William J. and Joan M. (Jordan) Hawko. Philip was a graduate of Medford High School and Suffolk University. He was active in politics in Medford and Clearwater, where he settled four years ago.

Philip was the beloved husband of Anicita (Labro) Hawko, and the brother of Gertrude Peckham and her husband Jeff of Marietta, Georgia, Stephen Hawko and his wife Barbara of Quincy, and the late Kenneth Hawko. He was the uncle of Sandra Flanagan and her husband Derek of Chelmsford, Michael Peckham and his wife Amanda of Marietta, Georgia, Stephen Hawko Jr. and his wife Tara of Quincy, Matthew Hawko of South Boston, and Bridget Hawko of Quincy. Philip is also survived by six loving great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Tuesday, June 20, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Visiting hours Monday, June 19, from 4 through 8 PM.
