Obituary

SEEKONKā€¦ Carol L. (Hartwell) Raimondi, 68, of Seekonk passed away June 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born in Endicott, NY, she was a daughter of the late Glenn Hartwell and Virginia (Corwin) Abbey. She had moved to Seekonk 2 years ago to undergo treatment at the RI Cancer Center.
Carol was a beautiful, strong and independent woman who was quick with a smile and sense of humor. While petite in stature, she was larger than life and everyone around her gravitated to her presence. She loved to reminisce about the past over a hot cup of coffee or a cold Keystone or glass of Sangria. She enjoyed working in her garden and to curl up and watch any of the Star Wars movies where she would often quote Yoda and his teachings. Do or Do Not. There is no try.
Carol felt very strongly about giving back to Veterans in the US Armed Forces and it was in her name that items have been collected and packages sent to various members of the military who are overseas. She was fortunate to speak with one such soldier who received one of her packages while serving in Iraq. For her efforts, she was awarded a certificate of appreciation from the RI and MA chapters of the US Veterans MC Club.
Carol is survived by her daughter; Jessica Nolan and son-in-law, Joe Nolan of Seekonk, 2 sons; Michael Clark and Floyd Clark, 2 sisters; Linda Padgett of Candor, NY and Tina Blackburn of Orlando, FL, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 1 niece and 5 nephews. She was sister of the late James Hartwell.
At her request, services are private.
