Mike Gerald Harmon Obituary - Water Valley MS

Mike Gerald Harmon, age 85, passed away in Tupelo, MS on Sunday, June 4, 2017. He was born to the late Kelly and Ollie Thweatt Harmon on November 10, 1931 in Lafayette county and served over thirty years as a game warden with the MS Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was also a farmer. Mike was a member of First Baptist Church of Water Valley, MS.

Visitation is planned for 9:30 AM until service time on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Rev. John Lancaster officiating. Burial will take place with flag honors at Pine Crest Memorial Gardens in Yalobusha county with Jerry Wilbourn, Kenny Harmon, Gary Jackson, Michael Harmon, Chris Harmon, and Noah Harmon serving as pallbearers.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Mae Allen Harmon. He is survived by two sons, Kevin Harmon (Jackie) of Water Valley, MS and Stacy Harmon (Jerri) of Oxford, MS; two sisters, Patsy Wilbourn (Rayford) and Sue Jackson (Buster), both of Water Valley, MS; one brother, Howard Harmon of Water Valley, MS; and three grandchildren, Noah Luke Harmon, Sarah Lindsey Harmon, and Emma Kate Harmon.
