Francoise (Rheaume Chabot) Bouthiller

CHICOPEE, MA AND CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – Francoise (Rheaume Chabot) Bouthiller, 95, a longtime resident of Beesley Avenue in the Sandy Hill section of Chicopee and current resident of Corpus Christi, Texas, was Called Safely Home on Memorial Day, Monday, May 29, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at her home surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born in Joliet, Province of Quebec, Canada on December 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Oscar Rheaume and Marie (Mireault) Rheaume. At a young age, she was adopted by the late Fortunat Chabot and Orise (Boudreau) Chabot. She was raised by the Chabot’s, attended local schools in Canada and received a certificate from the Montreal Conservatory of Music. She later married and came to the United States in 1946 and eventually settled in Chicopee. She was a longtime communicant of the former Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Chicopee where she was a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Sodality. Following the closing of her parish, she became a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee. Most of all, she was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest F. Bouthiller who was Called Home on December 19, 2002; and her two loving daughters, Aline L. Masek who was Called Home on May 6, 1995 and Denise J. Bouthiller who was Called Home on September 15, 2012. She leaves her loving daughter and son-in-law with whom she lived, Celine B. Leblond and her husband, Roger, of Corpus Christi, TX; her son-in-law, Neil Masek and his wife, Linda, of Chicopee; her seven cherished grandchildren; her 15 cherished great-grandchildren; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, July 17, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. There are no visiting hours at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
