Joseph A. Ferrera, age 77, of Milton passed away May 30th at the Milton Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Boston, he was raised in Roxbury, graduated from Boston Trade High School and served in the United States Navy. He was the owner and operator of J.D. Vending in Milton for many years before retiring. He was an avid reader, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family. Beloved husband for 54 years of Patricia A. (Mortell). Father of Donna M. Moccio and her husband Joseph of Hanover, Denise A. Call and her husband Charles of Franklin and Diane J. Ferrera of Brooklyn, NY. Grandfather of Angela and Lance Corporal Joseph Moccio, USMC both of Hanover and Charles Call of Franklin. Loving son of the late John “Gus” and Louise Ferrera. Brother of Corrine Miller of Walpole, Louise Voveris of Milton, Augustine “Gus” Ferrera of York, ME. and the late Alvera “Vera” Quish. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Saturday at 12 noon. Visiting hours prior to the service Saturday from 9 am to 12 noon. Burial Private.
