Mary Gladys (Ashnault) Crisp, age 83, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Royal Cape Cod Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Bourne. She was the former wife of the late Richard A. Crisp.

Born in North Conway, New Hampshire on November 29, 1933, she was a loving daughter of the late Owen and Victoria (Gaska) Ashnault.

Mary Gladys grew up in North Conway and was educated in North Conway and Jamaica Plain schools. Later in life, after raising her family, she returned to school and pursued her dream of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Prior to retiring, Mrs. Crisp worked as an LPN in the cardiac care unit at the former Goddard Hospital in Stoughton and also was an LPN at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton.

A woman of strong Christian Faith, Mary Gladys had made her home in Mansfield for over fifty years. She loved spending time with her adoring family, had a special place in her heart for animals, and enjoyed reading, crocheting and traveling.

She is survived by her devoted children Patricia Hickey and her husband Michael of Maine, Susan MacPhee and her husband James of Norton, Richard Crisp and his wife Gayle of Dennisport, Sandra White of Bourne, Pamela Lewis and her husband Paul of Plainville, Maryann Auty of Maine, Tina Walter and her fiancé John Fahey of Taunton, Ronald Crisp and his wife Rebecca of Barnstable and the late Robert Crisp. She was the dear sister of Jean McConnell of Arizona, and the late Julie Ashnault and Donald Ashnault. She is also survived by her cherished 16 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and was the grandmother of the late Aaron Hickey.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend graveside funeral services on Saturday, June 10th at 11:00 A.M. at the Spring Brook Cemetery, School St., Mansfield.
