James R. Calpin, 84, of Summit Commons, Providence, died Wednesday, May 24, 2017. He was the husband of the late Barbara Calpin.
Born in Hallowell, Maine, he was the son of the late Arthur R. and Eunice (Higgins) Calpin.
He was a factory supervisor for Balfour Company for 30 years before retiring. He was a member of the Toastmaster's Club and ARC Emergency Response Team. He loved farming and animals.
He is survived by his son, Scott Calpin of Pawtucket, his granddaughter, Renee and her daughter, Isabella of Mapleville,and his three neices Sherri of Marlborough, MA, Christy of Pittsburgh, PA and Gay of Vashan Island, WA.
