Mrs. Alberta Theresa (Sheridan) McClellan, a resident of Andover and beloved wife of the late Robert McClellan, passed away at the Wingate at Andover Nursing Center on Tuesday evening, May 23, 2017. She was 87 years old.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, on February 20, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Harry and Hannah Ann (Rushworth) Sheridan. Alberta was a graduate of Mass Bay Community College. She was employed as a Human resources Manager for the Department of Defense for many years.
A very strong woman, she enjoyed playing tennis, dancing with her loving husband Bob, and was an avid Red Sox fan. She will be dearly missed.
Alberta is survived by her loving children; Michael F. Query and his wife Ellen J. Keylor of Plymouth and Janis A. and her husband Tim W. Wright of Andover, grandchildren; Michael and Christina R. Query and Lisa S. Musto and Erica B. Wright and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Mildred White, Richard Sheridan and Harry Sheridan.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 126 S. Meadow Road, Plymouth on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Interment will be privately held at a later date. Donations in Alberta's memory may be made to Beacon Hospice, 13 Branch Street # 100, Methuen, MA 01844.
