Robert Albert Perron died Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the devoted husband of Joan (Kelley) Perron. They had been married for 50 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Albert L. and Rita (Chagnon) Perron. Robert made his home in Greenville since 1976, having previously lived in Providence. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Robert graduated from Johnson and Wales University, and was employed by the United States Postal Service as a postal supervisor until his retirement in 1992. He was the owner of Home Tax Service in Greenville.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, Kenneth R. Perron and Teresa of Attleboro, Massachusetts, as well as his brother, Girard A. Perron of Little Compton. He is predeceased by his son, James R. Perron.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30am from the Anderson Winfield Home, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visitation will be held Friday from 4-7 pm.
