Kara M. Murphy, of Nahant died on Friday, May 19, at Massachusetts General Hospital of Boston. Raised and educated in Medford, she was the daughter of Ronald M. and Alexis (Boney) Murphy.

Kara was the cherished sister of Keeley Murphy and his wife Cheryl of Wilmington and the loving aunt of Nathaniel and Alexander Murphy. She was the niece of Hugh Boney and his wife Brenda of Medford, Amy Callaghan and her husband Robert of Dorchester, the late Alexander Boney, Joan Murray and her late husband Michael, Frank Murphy and Alice McNamara, all of Juneau, Alaska, the late Gerard Murphy of Kingston, the late Donna Barlow of Sandwich, Ann Murphy of Weymouth, Maureen Hoban and her husband John of Quincy, and many loving cousins.

Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent in Kara's name to M.S.P.C.A - Angell Memorial Animal Hospital, 350 South Huntington Ave., Boston, MA 02130.
