Francis H. Cambridge, 85
Francis H. Cambridge of Webster went home to be with his Saviour on Monday, May 8, 2017. The son of Earl and Hazel J. Smith, Frank resided in Attleboro Falls for much of his life before moving to Webster.
He is survived by his wife Nancy and his four children: Brett and his wife Dianna; Jeff and his wife Jill; Jill and her husband Howard Harris; Julie and Donald Theroux. He was predeceased by his son Robert H. Cambridge, wife Lois Cambridge, granddaughter Rebecca Cambridge and sisters Beverly, Leona and Arline.
Frank is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, several stepchildren and nieces, his former wife Laura, and special long-time friends Lenny (Sarge), Jon C., Butch and Carol, and Vinny and Diane.

Frank was a 1949 graduate of North Attleboro High School, where he played football and baseball. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the 1950’s Korean War as an Engineman Third Class on the minesweeper USS Zeal A.M. 131. He was past president of USS Zeal reunions, a member of the American Legion Post 184, the Naval Mine Warfare Association, and the NRA.
Frank was a North Attleboro youth baseball coach for many years, a Pack 32 Cub Scout leader, and a board member of the Falls Community Association.
He was a construction superintendent throughout New England for most of his work life and a lifetime member of the Carpenters Local 535 Norwood. He enjoyed world travel, vacationing near New England seashore, and spending time with family.
Family and friends are invited to visitation hours at the ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster on Thursday, May 11, 2017 from 10am to 11:30am, followed by a Service from 11:30am-12pm in the Funeral Home.
Burial will immediately follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans’ Council.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank’s memory may be made to the Salmon VNA & Hospice of Greater Milford, 37 Birch St., Milford, MA. 01757 or Tri-State Baptist Church, 386 Quinebaug Rd., North Grosvenordale, CT. 06255.
