Linda Lee Griffin, age 69 of Prosser, entered into rest on May 1, 2017 at Chaplaincy Hospice Care in Kennewick. She was born on January 31, 1948 in Sunnyside, Washington to Clifford & Eleanora (Powell) Mount. She was raised and educated in Prosser and graduated from Prosser High School in 1967. Linda and Jay Griffin were married in Grand Coulee on October 11, 1981 and made their home in Royal City until settling in Prosser three years ago.
Linda enjoyed baking, her flower garden and crocheting blankets for all her great and great-great nieces and nephews. She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her family.
She was a member of the Grand Coulee Eagles and Royal City Moose Lodge.
Linda is survived by her husband, Jay Griffin; her son, Justin (Melanie); step-daughters, Laura and Becca; her brothers, Gary “Bud” Mount (Janet), Tony Mount (Andrea) and Mike Mount; sisters, Shirley Irby, JoAnn Schneider (Dave); her grandchildren, Jaya, Cohen and Adler; five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Hyde and Dorothy Mount; brother, Morris Mount; and brother-in-law, Sam Irby.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 9, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, May 10 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Prosser Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Prosser Cemetery. Following the service there will be a luncheon at the home of Shirley Irby, 8502 N.
