Our dear Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend has gone to sleep in death until she is called back from the dead by her Heavenly Father Jehovah God, to once more be reunited with her loved ones, here on the earth in Jehovah God’s promised paradise.

Joyce who was a resident of Prosser since the age of seven passed away on May 1, 2017 at her home in Prosser. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas on July 28, 1935 to Paul K. and Katherine (Benedict) Ouderkirk. She moved, with her parents and brothers, to Prosser in 1942. Her father helped build the Hanford Project. At the age of 18, in 1953, she married Joe D. Bardessono with whom she had five children, who still survive her. Her children are David (Sherilyn), Timothy (Frances), Deborah Collins, Mark (Vicki), and Matthew (Bronyn).

Joyce is also survived by her three brothers, Paul K. Ouderkirk Jr. of Portland, OR, Alfred E. Ouderkirk of Cheney, WA, Michael J. Ouderkirk of Pasco, WA; five grandchildren, Davy, Jennifer, William, Trevor and Domenique Bardessono; honorary grandson, Shane Ouderkirk; seven great-grandchildren, Savannah and Alex Hayte, Kialani, Giovani and Mikaila Bardessono, and Kevin, Nevik and Trevin Bardessono; one great-great grandson, Caelib Timothy Hewitt, born on May 2; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Katherine; brother, Charles; granddaughter, Corrine; longtime companion and soulmate, Warren E. Hazen; and former husband, Joe Bardessono.

It was Joyce’s lifelong hope and belief in the resurrection of the death by her heavenly father Jehovah God, and that she will once again be united with her beloved children and other family members her on a paradise earth as promised in his word the bible.

Her favorite hobbies were reading, sewing, flower gardening and traveling with Warren in the motorhome. She will be greatly missed as a mother and grandmother and by all her friends. A private family service will be held at a later date.
