Lorraine E. (Dietrich) Marchacos Cash

CHICOPEE – Lorraine E. (Dietrich) Marchacos Cash, 89, formerly of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, April 29, 2017. She passed into Eternal Life at Wingate at South Hadley surrounded by all the memories she loved and cherished. She was born in Holyoke on February 26, 1928, a beloved daughter of the late Francois Dietrich and Helen (Masse) Dietrich Laskowski. She was raised on Catherine Street in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and later moved to Andersen Road in the Fairview section of the city. She was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church in Chicopee where she served on the Altar Guild. Most of all, she was a loving homemaker to her family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Chris Marchacos who was Called Home on March 16, 1983. She leaves her two loving sons, Michael L. Marchacos and his wife, Sue, of Chicopee and David T. Marchacos and his wife, Pam, of Colorado; her four cherished grandchildren, Christopher Marchacos and his wife, Maureen, Tara Miller and her husband, Erik, Melissa Ramos and her husband, Edwin, and Laura Rousseau; her two cherished great-grandchildren, Avery Miller and Benjamin Marchacos; her dear sister, Helen Kuenzel of North Carolina; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her two dear brothers, William and Norman Dietrich; and her two dear sisters, Shirley Boudreau and Audrey King. Her funeral will be held on Friday morning, May 5, 2017 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020 (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. in Grace Episcopal Church, 156 Springfield Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Her burial will follow the service at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday morning, May 5, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. before the service. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
