BARRETT, NITA FRANGOULIS a life-long resident of Wellesley, died on Tuesday, April 25th at her home in Newton Lower Falls. Daughter of George and Marianthe Frangoulis, she was born in Wellesley on November 22nd, 1924, and graduated from Wellesley High School and Boston University. With her husband of 59 years, Bruce Barrett (1924-2014), she raised three sons in Wellesley, beginning in 1958. An interior designer, she was active in the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA). She leaves her three sons and their wives (Curt and Susan Barrett of Westminster, Maryland; Randall and Lydia Barrett of Wellesley; and Scott and Leah Barrett of Brooklyn, New York) and five grandchildren (Adrienne, Alexandra, Cole, Jackson, and Kira).
Visitation will be held at George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt. 16), WELLESLEY, on Thursday, May 4th from 5:00-8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Andrews Church on Denton Road in Wellesley on Friday, May 5th at 11:00 am. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
